How to Remove a Trojan Win32 Agent Malware

Filed under: Others — admin @ 7:08 AM

Trojan Win32 Agent is a Type of Malware which is capable of installing software/programs on your computer without your permission. The program installed will launch whenever your computer is restarted/rebooted. These types of Trojans may even steal your Data files according to the wish of the hacker.

While you can get rid of a Trojan Win32 Agent manually, the removal process can be difficult for some, and in some cases may still not be enough to properly remove the infection. For most computer users, antivirus software will be the best method for both removing the trojan and protecting the computer from future infections.

How to Remove it?

  • Download and install an antivirus program such as McAfee Antivirus, Norton Antivirus, Avast Antivirus or any highly rated antivirus software. If the trojan has rendered you unable to connect to the Internet, download the software in Windows “Safe Mode with Networking.” If necessary, use another computer to download the software to a CD or USB drive, and then install the program from the device.
  • Run the antivirus program. Update the software’s definitions; usually antivirus software, after installation, is not completely up-to-date. This means it might not be able to detect the Trojan Win32 Agent until it is updated. An update utility program is included with most antivirus software. Launch this utility upon running the software.
  • After the definitions have updated, use the software to designate which files and folders you want scanned. It’s usually a good idea to scan the entire hard disk.
  • Press the scan button and allow the software to search for the Trojan Win32 Agent. This may take anywhere from several minutes to a few hours.
  • Follow the antivirus software’s instructions on how to remove the trojan. Some antivirus software will automatically remove the infection; other such software will allow you to either quarantine or delete the infection.
  • Schedule your antivirus software to scan your drive at least once a week. Configure the software so that it will scan every file you download to make sure none are infected. Most virus removal software will do this automatically.
After the definitions have updated, use the software to designate which files and folders you want scanned. It’s usually a good idea to scan the entire hard disk.

Because some antivirus software may not detect everything, it’s a good idea to use more than one such program.

How to Use a Sprint Instinct Cell Phone as an Internet Modem

Filed under: Others — admin @ 5:10 PM

It is possible to use your Sprint Instinct cell phone as an Internet modem; in this capacity, you can attach your phone to a computer in order to connect the latter to the Internet. Note that while this process is considered “hacking” the phone, it is perfectly legal.

  1. Obtain your phone’s unlock code from Sprint. Sprint will not give you this number if you are calling on your own phone; they will only give you your phone’s unlock code if your phone is malfunctioning, and calling Sprint on your own phone will indicate to them that your phone is working properly. So, you will need to use a different code in order to call Sprint. Using a phone that is not your own, dial Sprint’s customer service number, (888) 211-4727. Listen to the menu and press the number that will route you to a customer service employee; claim to this employee that your phone is experiencing technical problems, and request your phone’s six-digit unlock code.
  2. Dial ##DEBUGMENU# on your phone (this translates to ##332846368#); when prompted for your unlock code, enter it into the phone. Upon the entry of your unlock code, a menu should appear on your phone. On this menu, look for “Toggle NAI.” Select this option and toggle the setting to “Off.”
  3. Connect your phone to your computer via your phone’s USB cable (this cable is sold with the phone, so you should be in possession of it already). Upon connection of your phone to your computer, your computer should automatically begin downloading and installing the CDMA modem drivers from your phone; should this not occur, you may download these drivers at http://www.soft32.com/download_173416.html.
  4. Left-click your mouse cursor on the “Start” button at the bottom left of your screen. This will bring up the “Start” menu.
  5. On the “Start” menu, Scroll your cursor over the “Connect to” button; this can be found on the center right of the “Start” menu.
  6. Left-click your cursor on “Show all connections” on the menu that appears. A new window, titled “Network Connections,” will pop up. Click your cursor on “Create a new connection”; this can be found in the upper-left portion of the window. This will bring up a window titled “New Connection Wizard.”
  7. Start by clicking on “Next” in the “New Connection Wizard.” On the next menu, select “Connect to the Internet” and then click on “Next” once again. Continue by selecting “Set up my connection manually” and pressing “Next” once more. Finally, select “Connect using a dial-up modem” and press “Next” a final time. A new menu will ask for an ISP name. What you type here is not relevant beyond its use in identifying the connection. Type in “Sprint” or choose your own name. Press “Next.”
  8. Enter #777 in the new menu field and press “Next.”
  9. Leave the “user name” and “password” fields blank on the next menu that appears. Press “Next” once again.
  10. Check the box next to “Create a shortcut to this connection to my desktop” on the final menu. This will make it easier to find the connection if necessary. Press “Finish.”
Upon conclusion of the last step, your computer should automatically connect to the Internet.

Pen Drive – Features and Benefits for Beginners

Filed under: Others — admin @ 12:18 PM

pendrive

As we grow from novice to expert users the uses of a Pen drive also change. I have  found many uses. The main 6 of them are listed below.

  1. Transferring files from one PC to another. This will of course be limited to the size of the pen drive, but with sizes higher than 16 GB now available. This is the first use anyone will put a pen drive into.
  2. As a small backup solution. You can install Windows XP or vista , to a USB pen drive. So if for any reason you can’t boot to Windows, you can still boot to an installation of Windows, plug in an external hard drive and take off any information from the hard drive before formatting.
  3. As temporary RAM in Vista. In Windows Vista, ready boost allows you to allocate a pen drive as RAM. Microsoft has introduced a new technology called ReadyBoost. With the help of this technology one can use any Flash drive, SD Cards, CF Cards as the third memory option for the compute.

The benefits of Flash Drive or Cards as a source of Memory :

1. It is faster than the virtual memory which is accessed through the hard disk drive.
2. It is cheaper as compared to the actually Physical Memory.
See how to use Pen drive as RAM:

In order to activate the ReadyBoost technology on your FlashDrive or Memory Cards, you have to follow these steps…

1. Open My Computer.
2. Right Click on the Removable Disk Drive and select Properties.
3. Click on Ready Boost Tab.
4. Enable the feature by selecting the option and allocate the amount of space you want to use as memory.

Things to be noted….
1. Regardless of the fact that you use Readyboost or not, you need at least 512 Mb of memory to run Windows Vista decently.
2. If your device is not giving the option of ReadyBoost then it means that it doesn’t clear up the minimum data trasfer rate required by Read Boost technology.

4.Portable applications. You can carry many portable applications on your Pen drive. eg: Mozilla thunderbird

5.Booting to LINUX

Installing a Linux distro to a pen drive will allow for the use of the hard drive and all the files on it. Sure you could use a live CD, but then you would lose the ability to use that optical drive within the Linux environment. This is particularly useful for those running on laptops or PCs with only one optical drive.

6. For Carrying around a pack of Antivirus tools. You never know when you need them!

Airtel Free GPRS Mobile Office hack

Filed under: Others — admin @ 1:20 PM

Raw Materials: PC/Laptop and necessary connectivity tools ,ie.,
Serial/USB cable OR Infrared Device OR Bluetooth dongle to connect the mobile to the computer.

1) Activate Airtel Live! ( It’s FREE so no probs)

2)Create TWO Airtel GPRS data accounts (yep TWO) and select the
FIRST as the active profile.

3) Connect your mobile to the PC (or Laptop) and install the driver for
your mobile’s modem.

4) Create a new dial-up connection using the NEW CONNECTION
WIZARD as follows

Connecting Device : Your mobile’s modem
ISP Name : Airtel (or anything you like)
Phone Number : *99***2#
Username and Password : blank

5) Configure your browser and download manager to use the proxy
100.1.200.99 and port 8080.( My advice is to use Opera since you
can browse both wap and regular websites)

6) Connect to the dial-up account. You will be connected at 115.2
kbps (but remember, that is a bad joke).

7) Pick up your mobile and try to access any site. You will get “Access
Denied…”(except for Airtel Live!). IT DOES NOT MATTER.
Keep the mobile down.

8 ) On the PC ( or Laptop) open your browser, enter any address ,
press ENTER and…….WAIT

9) After a few seconds the page will start to load and you have the
WHOLE internet at your disposal.

10) Thank the one who gave you this hack
